I read somewhere on a guid on the internet that you can salvage crafting items again with an expert salvage kit. Is this true?

I get steel a lot from swords/shields/armor that are Highly salvagable. If they are from Southern shiverpeaks, I ususally get 3 steel per. I now have close to 100 steel in my inventory.

There is one kind of armor in Sorrows furnace that ALWAYS salvages to 2 parchments.

to whoever was wondering about eternal weapons salvaging, u get wood, i haev tried, i tried a eternal bow for +30hp and got wood, and i tried a 13 AL sheild just to see wat i got

Eternal equipment is just like their physical conterparts...Eternal Bows go to wood, and Eternal Shields are iron/steel.

Yesterday, I farmed Nolani solo until I got 107 Ghostly Remains. Then I Expert Salvaged them all.

0 Ecto
107 Glittering Dust

Someone else can gather another 100 or so and try to Normal Salvage them. Screenshots are required as proof.

In my personal experience, unless there is a Upgrade on the bow, you can ONLY get Wood from ANY bow. The thing is, the better the salvage kit, the more wood you salvage (on higher lvl items).

I have heard that those ghost things in the Nolani bonus DO drop Ecto, just really rarely. One of the guys I was in a group with had done it before and gotten one. This was about 2 months ago...so quite possibly has been changed.

Actually, some of the Ivory/Horned Bows salvage into Bones. Otherwise, the bows yield wood. And you don't get more wood, regardless of whether you use Salvage Kits, Expert Salvage Kits, or Superior Salvage Kits. It depends more on who the bow dropped from and what its stats are.

I salvaged 3 dark remains from fow GUESS WHAT I GOT!!!!!

30 piles of glittering dust!! WOOO!

i used expert 2ce and normal slavage kit got 15 piles every time!
didnt wanna waste money for the superdupe salvage kit.

Back when I was a newbie I did manage to get a glob of ectoplasm after salvaging something but i cant remember what. I didnt know what an ecto was for back then and sold it to the merchant.

I dont its possible to salv ecto from Ghostly remains...

I want to see the picture of that actually happening...then ill believe you.

I found a glob doing the wailing loard in FoW a few weeks back. I never heard of them dropping there, anyone else seen this?

Yes, the reason for this is because the whaling lord was put into FoW because he got kicked from UW or something like that.. I don't know the exact story but for a while there everytime my guild went to the forrest ONE person got an ecto, however I haven't seen it in a long time.

So I'm not sure if it is still happening but it certainly was..
